This month we will use Carole Horn's Lariat pattern from NBW projects

 

 

The project uses size 11 seed beads and size 11 Delica beads. The project is

made in Peyote and Herringbone stitches.

We have a project at each of these meetings which you are welcome to join in or continue with your own work.

These are not taught sessions but there is always someone available to help as required.

They are suitable for beginners or experienced beading group members. Do get in touch if you would like further information.

The fee does not include the beads needed for each project. Requirement lists will be sent at least one month prior to each course. Kits will also be available to pre order if you wish to purchase them.

Tuesday 5th September - Oceanside Deco Necklace


      

Oceanside Deco Necklace "is inspired by the elegance of geometric forms

predominant in the Deco Era. This delicate necklace features two "sea snail"

elements with a cascade of sparkling rhinestone chain".

The combination of chenille and herringbone stitch in the neck strap  provides

an ideal compliment to the beautiful centrepiece.

The formation of the centrepiece is a combination of right angle weave, peyote,

and herringbone stitch.

Understanding of these stitches is necessary.  

 

 Wednesday 6th September  -  Deco Daze Necklace

         

            

        

This distinct design, with its rectangular form and cascading rhinestones

provides a lesson in geometric construction as well as a stunning necklace that

 recalls one of the most glamorous eras in modern fashion history.

Techniques used include peyote stitch, herringbone stitch and chenille stitch.

Proficiency in herringbone and peyote stitch (including odd flat count) is strongly

recommended for this workshop.

 

Thursday 7th September  -  Egyptian Revival Necklace 

                

 

This Egyptian Revival inspired necklace features three rising sun scarab beetle

pendants. These complex structures are achieved using a multitude of

stitching techniques alongside 3-D construction. The stunning neck strap

features the new Toho "demi beads.

Techniques include herringbone stitch, peyote stitch,, right angle weave and

chenille stitch. Proficiency in all stitches is required.  

 

 Friday 8th September  -  Darling Deco Bracelet 

         

 

        

This delicate design features a circular multi-layered centrepiece set atop a

rhinestone encrusted band. Innovative use of Swarovski crystal chain creates

the look of Deco Era rhinestone jewellery

Techniques used in this bracelet are right angle weave, flat and tubular peyote

stitch. A knowledge of odd and even count peyote stitch is necessary for this

course.

If you would like to make a booking for any of the courses please email to check availability.

A NON REFUNDABLE, non transferable deposit, of 50% per day for each course booked, unless stated otherwise, is required to confirm a place. Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer. Email for details.

The balance of the fee will be due two months prior to the course date. After this date no refund can be given unless the course is full and a replacement student is found, then a full refund will be given less a £10 administration fee.

Should a course be full we will start a waiting list and inform you should a place become available.

It is always worth contacting us if you wish to come on a course near the date as there are sometimes cancellations

A requirement list will be sent at least one month prior to course date.

We reserve the right to cancel a course should there be insufficient numbers or if the tutor has to cancel due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances. A full refund will be given.

However we cannot be responsible for any other expenses incurred. Please consider taking out your own insurance.
